Amazon Eero 6 Mesh WiFi

No products found.

The Eero 6 Mesh Wi-Fi System is the most affordable Wi-Fi 6 device that we found with support for true mesh technology. The system boasts solid coverage, speed boost, and signal strength.

The complete kit includes a portable-sized central router and two extenders. The system comes with two ethernet ports and a USB-C port, but they are only on the primary router.

Setting up the Eero mesh Wi-Fi is as easy as one, two, and three. All you need to do is to download the Eero app, create a user profile and follow the steps that accompany it.

You can easily control your network via its inbuilt Zig bee Smart home hub and Alexa for voice control prompts. Apple users can connect to the system as well.

Amazon Eero 6 features a dual-band connection via a single network and network coverage of 5000 sq. ft. via the entire system.

The Wi-Fi system offers extra features with basic plans for parental control and network security. However, advanced control for these features requires a subscription to a paid plan.

While we think it is great for medium-sized homes, the device might not be an excellent choice for large spaces.

Editor’s Verdict

If yours is a large-sized space and you want more control over your network, we advise you to check out the next best mesh network for FiOS on the list.

Google AC 1200 Mesh WiFi

No products found.

We have seen users ask, does google Wi-Fi mesh work with FiOS?

The simple answer is yes and like the Eero Mesh system, Google Wi-Fi AC 1200 Mesh Wi-Fi is yet another affordable system that is compatible with FiOS Wi-Fi. This is the only 802.11ac system on the list, but its mesh networking performance is as good as other Wi-Fi 6 units, including Netgear Orbi.

Wi-Fi AC 1200 comes in 3 units, comprising a primary unit for connection to the Fios router and two secondary units for extending Wi-Fi coverage. Each router point has coverage of 1500 sq. ft. for up to 100 connected devices. Unlike the Amazon Eero Mesh, there are also two-gigabit ethernet ports on each unit for connecting game consoles and other speed-dependent devices. This is an amazing feat!

Google Wi-Fi features an intuitive app with an inbuilt speed test and other features that help you position the unit at the right corners for maximal coverage and connectivity.

The connection and installation process is simple and only takes about 10 minutes.

We think the design is elegant and compact. Hence, the simple little cylinder units with LED bands at the center are safe to place anywhere around your space.

It doesn’t support band switching as well.

You get to enjoy the many features and advantages of this system for just $259. That’s pretty much reasonable.

Editor’s Verdict

If you are browsing for the best Wi-Fi extender for FiOS at an affordable price, Google Wi-Fi AC 1200 is worth a second glance.

ASUS ZenWifi AX Mini Mesh Wifi System

No products found.

The ASUS ZenWifi AX Mini Mesh is the smaller version of the ZenWifi AX (XT8).

While there is a WAN port on the primary router for connecting to the FiOS internet, they are single LAN ports on the 2 satellite units for extending network coverage as well. The system is straightforward to set up.

It is a dual-band system (MU-MIMO support) with a top speed of up to 1200Mbps on the 5GHz band and ideally covers up to 4800 sq. ft. area

The system’s firmware is stable. ZenWifi AX Mini offers more than enough speed for hassle-free video conferencing and 4k streaming.

ASUS ZenWifi AX Mini Mesh is one of the best Wi-Fi extenders for the FiOS quantum gateway router. However, one downside we found in this system is that USB ports are absent from all the individual units.

Editor’s Verdict

We love its classic and petite design.

You can either run both frequency bands under one name or separate them into two individual networks. That is a plus.

TP-Link Deco WiFi 6 Mesh System

No products found.

TP-Link Deco Wi-Fi 6 is a complete home FiOS mesh extender. The system stands out for its excellent range and ultra-security features.

TP-Link Deco features three small identical units with LED light that produces different color indications that show the status of the unit. Each unit also features 4 inbuilt antennas, two gigabit LAN ports, and a power jack.

The Wi-Fi 6 device employs dual-band technology, and there is no dedicated 5GHz backhaul channel. It can provide 1.8Gbps with support for up to 150 devices across a 5800 sq. ft. space.

With TP-Link Deco Wi-Fi 6, your network is secure at all times via its WPA3 security and firmware inbuilt Trend Micro anti-malware code. By the way, the security features are all for free. However, it does not use two-factor authentication and iPad ID.

You can easily manage your network via the TP-Link Deco mobile app and enjoy its user-friendly settings.

Unfortunately, there is also no USB port on any of the units and no provision for band splitting.

Editor’s Verdict

The system is not the fastest we reviewed, but it is an inexpensive option that delivers more speed, coverage, and security for moderately sized spaces than similar devices in its price range.

NETGEAR Orbi Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6

No products found.

For a start, two large units of the NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system sell for about 700 dollars and by the time you see what it offers, we just might justify the expensive price tag.

As expensive as the system is, it is super easy to use. The security feature is topnotch with WPA3 encryption Touch ID, two-factor authentication, and Netgear Cybersecurity (1-year free subscription).

The tri-band system offers more battery life and the fastest wireless speed compared to all the mesh Wi-Fi systems on the list.

As a tri-band system, it has a dedicated backhaul that reduces network congestion and boosts Wi-Fi speed. Capable of speeds up to 4.2Gbps (1200Mbps/2.4GHz, 2400Mbps/5GHz, and 2400Mbps/5GHz). The wireless signal can seamlessly penetrate through walls and ceilings.

For every unit you add, you get an extra 2500 sq. ft. coverage. Each unit also features one WAN port and four LAN ports. Sadly, there are no USB ports in the units.

Truth be told, the units are large and bulky, plus one cannot mount them on the wall except with the aid of a wall mounting bracket (which has to be purchased separately). The units look nice by the way and you don’t have to hide them.

Editor’s Verdict

One of the best mesh Wi-Fi systems with matchless overall wireless performance, great for gaming!
